The Aequator manufacturing plant is based in Switzerland and was established in 1933. Major companies are using Aequator Coffee Machines. (Shell Switzerland, UK, Sweden and Latvia, BP Switzerland, Friendly Group Japan, Te&Kaffi Iceland, Lavazza Switzerland, Nespresso, Restaurants, Hotels and Cafeterias)…. just to name a few.
Aequator Coffee Machines for professional use have been manufactured since 1933. Freshly brewed premium coffee in the cup has always been our main goal. A low pressure brewing system was used up to the 50’s. When Alfred Meyer bought the coffee machine section from the Arbonia Company in 1960, the high pressure brewing system - better known as espresso system - came from Italy and became fashionable. The new procedure made stronger and better accepted coffee, which was highly appreciated and demanded, mainly in Switzerland. As from 1970, Aequator not only made manual piston machines, but also the first fully automatic espresso machines. It took nearly two decades to develop a high quality fully automatic coffee machine that satisfied our customers. When Manfred Meyer followed his father in 1992, he started to export the machines.
Today, a fully automatic coffee machine must include milk to produce trendy coffee products. Hygiene is of paramount importance when using milk. All fully automatic Aequator coffee machines take this into account. Aequator, with its innovative ideas and developments is an interesting market player, motivating our competition.
